Our Story
What we’ve received from our own adventures lead us to want to share these experiences with others. With the experience of different people, places and cultures comes an awakened realization of self. When we step away from the usual routines and scenes of the every day, into settings that invite us to see with new eyes, it isn’t only the scenery that looks different but we experience ourselves in a different way. We get to know our own potential as well as the limitless possibilities that are available to us within this whole wide world.
Daksa Devi (Erin Day)
of Ten Summit Yoga & Earth Based Wellness
As the founder of Ten Summit Yoga & Earth Based Wellness and a yogini with twenty-seven years of teaching experience, I am devoted to learning and sharing the teachings of Yoga as they are intertwined with the natural world. Through the physical and subtle practices of Yoga, chitta suddhi (the Yogic path of self-inquiry as taught to me by Vedaji) and greenspirit practices (wild foods foraging, guided hikes, herbal medicine, ecospirituality and conservation), I mentor others in remembering their innate goodness. In this remembering there is freedom of the self, realization of purpose and conscious interaction with all of life.
I have had joys and challenges, as we all do, and I have come to know myself in peaceful strength while recognizing that I am a part of it all. For me, amidst anything else I experience, the teachings of Yoga and Mother Nature hold the truth of unity. Not sameness, because everyone is so beautifully unique while a needed part of the whole.
I love being a part of it all and being here with you. From what I’ve learned through these teachers of Yoga and Mother Nature, who share so generously, I pass along with the highest intentions.
Cynthia Griffin
of Natural Health Therapies with Cynthia Griffin LMT, RYT, YHC
In hindsight, I believe my yogic journey began in my twenties, after coming out of some challenges in my youth. Seeking consistent sobriety, peace, and happiness, I whole heartedly made a conscious choice to learn more about myself and how to live a clean healthy lifestyle. I then began studying and experiencing herbalism, Eastern Philosophy, Body- Mind-Spirit Connections, different movement modalities and Tai Chi Chuan.
Driven by a desire to help others find their own body-mind-spirit balance and connections, I became a CT licensed Massage Therapist over 23 years ago and instantly specialized in Traditional Thai Massage, which integrates Ayurveda, Yoga, and Energy Work. These experiences further fueled my interest to dive deeper into the multi layers of Yoga and Ayurveda leading me to receive certifications in Yoga Teacher Training and Yoga Health Coaching.
I have had the blessings of continuous learning, traveling, and studying with acclaimed teachers across the US, China, Canada, Thailand, and India. This greatly broadened my understanding of what true wellness is. I believe my Dharma is to help guide and hold space for others to be in charge of their own self awareness, healing and happiness by integrating the 8 Limbs of Yoga into their lives.
When not teaching classes, workshops or hosting retreats, I love spending time with family and friends, traveling, connecting to nature, and doing Seva.
